i can say asia, and then narrow it down to a strong interest in pre-restoration japan and post war literature, but my school didn't actually have an asian studies program. everything i did focused more on china (which i thoroughly enjoyed, don't get me wrong!) and even then there wasn't enough of it. the courses i took were a hodge podge of exploratory courses that focused on the mediterranean (rome, greece, ancient persia) and modern china.

so not at all.
