a whole hell of a lot of us have been infected

so i fall into the camp that says the ending and the top don't really matter because inception took place. it no longer matters to cobb whether he dreams or if he is awake and this is shown because he left the top on the table.

the world is his own.

the story ended the moment cobb walked away. the image of the top spinning and the sound of the top wobbling is for the audience.

i suppose it goes back to the idea being the most dangerous parasite.

I love yr icon, btw! :D And no, I haven't heard that one (his children as his totem). How does it work? I aso like the ring thing because it's totally noticeable. I enjoy people coming up with different totems for Eames. Fanfic seems to mostly agree that it's a chip.

i don't recall which thread i was reading through but it was something along the lines of the children weren't just bleed over of memories but actual cues for cobb to understand he was in a dream? they kept the same position, never turned, something he had in the dream world and not on the other side. the details escape me but the idea never did.

fanfic does agree that eams carries a chip, but i read one with a watch. is it a chip because he's a gambler or is it a chip because it compliments arthur's die?

(thank you! something i through together)

I love the children theory! That's quite clever. And makes a lot of sense as well.

I liked that one with the watch. I think that the theory behind the chip changes depending on the fic. Some of them use it as a compliment, others just the gambling thing. If it's an established relationship fic (which I seem to really like in this fandom), I think mostly they compliment each other. But, of course, that's not always the case. Also, is it just me, or has this fandom produced a ton of really good fic already?

PS. Not enough Cobb/Saito, though.

THIS RIGHT HERE!

i knew i wasn't the only one to think such a thing but the internet has been terribly silent about such things. and it isn't disappointing, the amount of fic is of startlingly good quality for it to be so soon into the film. i love fandom :D

There's a super great fic/series out there, but it's like the only one for that pairing.

It has been. I mean, they had great chemistry, almost as good as Eames/Arthur. And, yeah, I love fandom, too. Almost all the fics I've read have been good. Though I've been avoiding Ariadne/Arthur.
